This role involves working in a grocery store environment, where you will assist customers with their shopping needs, manage transactions, and maintain an organized store layout. Responsibilities * Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations. * Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and enhance the customer shopping experience. * Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits. * Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented. * Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. * Utilize effective phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries. * Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and organized work environment. Requirements * Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. * Bilingual candidates are required to assist a diverse customer base. * Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. * Basic knowledge of merchandising principles and stocking procedures. * Experience with cashiering duties and cash handling protocols. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the store.
