We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Auto Parts Counterperson with dealership experience to join our passionate team at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT - An award-winning Chrysler dealership! Job Summary : focuses on the technician counter, serves as a vital link between our service department, customers, and suppliers by providing expert assistance in automotive parts sales. Location: Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Concord, 7630 Hendrick Auto Plaza NW. (Concord, NC). Pay Range: Up to $60,000 per year (bonus/commission pay based on job performance). Job Responsibilities: * Assist customers in selecting the correct auto parts and accessories, ensuring accurate product recommendations based on vehicle needs. * Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts shelves to optimize accessibility and efficiency. * Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems while payments securely. * Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to identify parts requirements for vehicle repairs and maintenance. * Maintain detailed records of orders, returns, and inventory levels using dealership management software (CMMS). * Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication, phone etiquette, and professional interaction. * Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers and new products to enhance sales opportunities. Qualifications: * Valid Driver's License. * College Degree, High School Diploma, or equivalent. * Proven dealership experience as an auto parts counterperson, with specific Chrysler experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and automotive service standards. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively using inventory management systems. * Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs better. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, retail math, and POS systems is highly desirable. * Demonstrated negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to build lasting customer relationships. * Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Familiarity with dealership operations such as order fulfillment and stock management is advantageous. Attendance Expectations: The position requires regular and predictable attendance in-person at an automotive dealership. Scheduled shifts are typically 5-days per week and may include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to (30) pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Environment Demands: Duties are performed primarily in the automotive service area. Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Frequently interacts with customers, service advisors and the service manager. Verbal and Writing Ability: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations. Ability to understand and follow technical manuals.
