Full description of the position

As a Business Developer, your mission is to find and close new business with a hunter mentality and approach. Your success will be dependent upon your ability to prospect for business through incoming leads, referrals, cold- calling, conferences and social media. * Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customers that achieve assigned sales quotas and targets * Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales * Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers and sales * Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each. * Maintain a high level of relevant market knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects. * Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers * Draft and deliver proposals * Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis * Report on daily sales activity * Enter detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions into CRM system * Provide a forecast pipeline on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods * Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace * Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity Minimum Qualifications: * University/College graduate preferred * Ability to operate PC & iPad applications including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word), CRM, Flow Charting, work-loading, simulation and communication tools * End user market experience with education, healthcare, facilities management, hospitality and government is an asset. * Extremely organized * Strong Verbal and written communication skills * Competent, self-motivated learners * Ability to multi-task and prioritize * Knowledge of forecasting * Reliable Transportation Compensation commensurate with experience and skill set. Compensation will include base wage salary plus commission. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Experience: * Outside sales: 4 years (Preferred) * Account management: 4 years (Preferred) * B2B sales: 4 years (Preferred) Work Location: On the road
