Job Title Sales Representative Overview A prominent Japanese logistics company is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join their team near Chicago (Wood Dale, IL). This position is designed for an experienced professional capable of leveraging a transferable book of business to drive immediate growth. The successful candidate will not only expand their existing portfolio but also promote comprehensive logistics solutions including International Freight Forwarding and 3PL services. Essential Duties * Business Expansion: Successfully migrate and expand an existing book of business, ensuring seamless integration and continued growth. * Strategic Sales: Propose and sell comprehensive logistics services with a focus on: * International Transportation (Air and Ocean Freight) * Warehousing, Value-Added Services, and Domestic Distribution * Account Growth: Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities to expand the scope of services within the existing client base. * Solution Design: Collaborate closely with Operations and Management teams to design effective logistics proposals and ensure operational feasibility. Working Hours / Work Arrangement * Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Central Time). * Work Style: Open to candidates based in the Central Time Zone (e.g., Houston, Midwest) Post-training: Remote or hybrid, depending on location and performance * Travel: Regular business travel throughout the Midwest region is required. Location * Wood Dale, Illinois Salary / Benefits * Base Salary: $90,000 (DOE) * Commission Structure: Attractive tiered commission plan. * Year 1: 15% on New Customers / 10% on New Business from Existing Customers. * Year 2: 10% / 5% respectively. * Year 3 onwards: Accounts transition to House Accounts. * Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including Health Insurance, 401(k) Plan, and Paid Time Off. * Transportation Support (choose one): Vehicle allowance Company-provided vehicle (e.g., Toyota Camry) -- includes full fuel coverage and personal use permitted Holidays * Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) * US Federal Holidays * Paid Vacation and Sick Leave Qualifications * Experience: Proven sales experience in Freight Forwarding, 3PL, or Warehousing industries. * Book of Business: Must possess a transferable book of business. * Language: Proficient in English (Japanese language skills are NOT required). * Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. * Driver's License: Valid driver's license required; must be willing and able to travel frequently within the Midwest. * Preferred: Experience working in Small to Medium-sized Business (SMB) environments is a plus.
