Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is seeking a Full-Time Produce Manager to lead our high-quality Produce Department in our up and coming Greenvale, NY store! What You 'll Do: * Lead and manage the daily operations of the Produce Department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff * Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and product returns * Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchase orders to keep shelves fully stocked * Train staff in store policies, procedures, and excellent customer service techniques * Analyze sales data, conduct audits, and make recommendations to improve department performance * Maintain high-quality displays and ensure the freshest produce is available for our customers * Perform other duties as assigned What We 're Looking For: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Minimum 3 years of Produce Management experience * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent communication and produce display expertise * In-depth knowledge of produce, quality standards, and market pricing Working Conditions: * Active role requiring movement on hard surfaces, bending, climbing, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs (with assistance for heavier items) * Indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes (freezers, coolers, ovens) and occasional loud equipment * Safe handling of cleaning agents, sharp tools, and industrial equipment If you love fresh produce, have a keen eye for quality, and thrive in a leadership role, this is the perfect opportunity to grow with Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace!
