Located in Locust, NC Salary: $23/hr-$26/hr. Position Summary Under direct supervision, the Inside Sales Associate provides sales and customer service support primarily related to retail customers. This role partners closely with the Outside Sales team to complete and process orders, manage data entry, and ensure a seamless customer experience. Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and proficiency with Microsoft applications are essential for success in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Provide customer service to retail customers via phone, email, and limited walk-in interactions, including assistance with product selection, pricing, availability, and returns. * Support and finalize orders generated by the Outside Sales team. * Actively sell company products and services. * Prepare material estimates and quotes for small project packages (e.g., stairs, decks, fences, sheds). * Enter orders accurately into internal systems and coordinate delivery scheduling. * Perform a high volume of data entry with accuracy and efficiency. * Plan and pace work to meet daily, weekly, and project-related productivity goals. * Participate in coordinating and conducting customer workshops as needed. * Resolve basic customer issues and escalate more complex concerns to senior staff. * Assist with store housekeeping, signage, stocking, and inventory-related activities. * Follow all safety procedures and attend required safety meetings. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Minimum of six (6) months of sales-related experience, preferably within building materials or a related industry. * Strong working knowledge of building materials and supplies. * Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, locally focused environment.
