Full description of the position

Position Overview Delta Print Group has an immediate, full-time opening for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and integrating all sales and business development efforts across the organization's commercial print, direct mail, and fulfillment services. This role oversees inside and outside sales teams, drives new business acquisition, grows and retains existing client relationships, and aligns marketing strategies with revenue objectives. The position works closely with Ownership, the Executive Team, operations, and marketing partners to ensure profitable growth, consistent execution, and strong market positioning. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Management * Lead, coach, and manage all inside and outside sales representatives across multiple locations and business units. * Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and mentor sales representatives; provide ongoing performance management and professional development. * Establish annual and quarterly sales goals, forecasts, and performance metrics for individual reps and the overall organization. * Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each sales representative to review commissions, performance, pipelines, and short- and mid-term projections. * Lead regular sales meetings, including monthly full-team meetings and bi-monthly team check-ins with structured agendas. * Resolve account ownership issues and reassign accounts as needed to maximize customer engagement and revenue growth. * Integrate and align sales efforts across facilities, service lines, and operating companies. Business Development & Revenue Growth * Develop and execute strategic sales and business development plans aligned with company growth objectives. * Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within target markets and industry verticals. * Strengthen and expand existing customer relationships through consultative selling and cross-selling of print, mail, and fulfillment solutions. * Conduct quarterly reviews of client performance to identify growth opportunities, declines, and at-risk accounts. * Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Marketing & Lead Generation * Collaborate with internal teams and external marketing partners to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies. * Oversee lead generation initiatives and ensure timely distribution and follow-up by sales representatives. * Establish reporting and accountability processes for lead tracking and conversion. * Provide input into brand positioning, messaging, content development, and social media strategy. * Identify priority industry verticals for targeted sales and marketing focus on a quarterly basis. Forecasting, Reporting & Analytics * Establish and maintain standardized sales reporting, including weekly activity reports, monthly performance summaries, and quarterly business reviews. * Annually develop 12-month sales projections in coordination with the Executive Team and CFO budgeting process. * Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline health, win rates, margins, and market trends. * Present regular updates and insights to Ownership and the Executive Team. RFP/RFE & Strategic Opportunities * Lead and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFEs, and large contract opportunities in collaboration with general managers and key internal stakeholders. * Ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable proposals aligned with operational capabilities. Qualifications * 10+ years of sales experience in commercial printing, direct mail, marketing services, or fulfillment. * 5+ years of experience managing inside and outside sales teams. * Proven success in new business development, account growth, and revenue leadership. * Demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, lead generation, and brand development in a B2B environment. * Strong understanding of print production, mailing logistics, fulfillment operations, and related technologies. * Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. * Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales reporting tools, and Microsoft Office. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
