Job Summary Candidates must have experience in aircraft avionics sales. We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Avionics Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives within the aviation and aerospace sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in avionics systems, aircraft maintenance, and manufacturing processes, combined with exceptional sales and client relationship skills. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, engaging with clients in the aviation industry, and providing technical expertise to support product offerings. A comprehensive understanding of federal regulations, aircraft systems, and manufacturing standards such as AS9100 is essential to succeed in this position. The Aircraft Avionics Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical excellence and strategic sales efforts. Sales Manager Location: Fort Worth, TX Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience Number of openings: 2 Department: Sales Employment type: Full time (onsite - preferred. However the hiring manager is open to remote) Summary This role is responsible for driving aerospace sales growth through new business development, pipeline management, and long term relationship building with OEMs, MROs, and industry partners. The Sales Manager works closely with engineering and internal teams to deliver technically accurate proposals, pricing, and customer solutions. Responsibilities * Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting aerospace, military, and commercial aviation clients for avionics products and services. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including airlines, military agencies, aircraft manufacturers, and maintenance organizations. * Provide technical consultations on avionics systems, schematics, and integration solutions tailored to client needs. * Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product capabilities related to CATIA, AutoCAD, CAD, schematic design, and manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly. * Conduct root cause analysis of customer issues related to avionics or aircraft systems to support troubleshooting and product improvement initiatives. * Ensure compliance with industry standards including AS9100 quality management system and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). * Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and quotations that align with customer requirements while demonstrating product value. * Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings to promote products and gather market intelligence. * Coordinate with manufacturing teams on equipment repair, calibration using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). * Stay informed about advancements in aviation technology such as vehicle maintenance systems, airframe modifications, power tools usage for fabrication or repair work, and heavy lifting techniques for aircraft components. Experience * Proven track record in aerospace or aviation sales management with a focus on avionics systems. * Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures including electrical systems, mechanical components, power tools usage, welding techniques, sheet metal fabrication, soldering processes, and the use of precision measuring instruments. * Familiarity with industry standards such as AS9100 quality management system and Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). * Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate between engineering teams and clients while providing technical support during the sales process.
