Role Summary We are seeking an inspirational and strategically minded Sales and Marketing Manager to lead and coach our Business-to-Business (B2B) Pro Team. This critical role is the dual driver of our revenue and market strategy, responsible for developing B2B sales strategies targeting flooring contractors, builders, and commercial clients for our premium flooring products and installation services. You will be directing the marketing efforts necessary to position our products and generate high-quality commercial leads. The successful candidate will optimize the entire B2B sales cycle, from strategic account acquisition to contract negotiation. This position requires a strong blend of leadership, strategic marketing acumen, and analytical abilities to build and scale a top-tier B2B department, ensuring consistent growth in our professional client segment. Key Responsibilities * B2B Sales Strategy & Account Acquisition * Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B sales plan and market penetration strategy specifically targeting professional contractors and commercial accounts in the flooring sector. * Drive hands-on sales efforts in a player-coach capacity, focusing on complex commercial contract negotiations, managing large-volume bids, and securing strategic partnerships for flooring supply. * Establish all core Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the B2B sales process, including pipeline management, account retention, and commercial pricing structures. * Marketing Integration & Lead Generation * Oversee B2B marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with sales goals for lead generation, brand awareness, and product positioning within the commercial flooring market. * Collaborate with marketing resources to optimize campaigns targeting professional audiences (e.g., trade shows, digital contractor portals, industry publications related to flooring/construction). * Apply analytical skills to monitor marketing ROI and continuously refine lead quality and conversion effectiveness. * Team Leadership & Development * Participate in the staffing process: recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding sales representatives with specialized skills needed for B2B consultative selling and account management of professional flooring buyers. * Implement a high-impact coaching and training program focused on flooring product specifications, commercial client needs, and managing long-term professional relationships. * Utilize strong motivational skills and adaptability to foster a positive, accountable, and supportive team culture for the Pro Team. Qualifications Hard Skills (Technical & Operational) * 3-5+ years of demonstrable success in B2B sales, key account management, or commercial contract selling (required). * 1-2+ years in a team lead or sales management role with direct oversight of both sales targets and marketing strategy/execution (required). * Preferred Candidate will have significant commercial flooring sales experience. * A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the flooring, building materials, or related commercial construction industry is highly preferred. * Demonstrated expertise in B2B Sales Planning and Strategy Development and setting ambitious sales goals in a commercial environment. * Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and utilizing sales metrics for forecasting. * Experience in selecting, implementing, or administering CRM software. * Solid background in process management, process improvement, and effective goal setting for B2B reps. Soft Skills (Interpersonal & Leadership) * Exceptional Leadership Skills and a proven ability to Inspire and Motivate high performance in B2B account-based sales. * High degree of Emotional Intelligence crucial for effective relationship building with professional clients and team members. * Superior Effective Communication (written and verbal) and sophisticated Negotiation skills essential for securing large commercial contracts. * Demonstrated Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills in establishing new functions and navigating ambiguity. * Strong commitment to Integrity and fostering a high-trust, collaborative environment.
