Full description of the position

Summary The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with commercial, government, and large organizational accounts to drive the sale of fleet vehicles and related services. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, technical product knowledge, and strategic account management to ensure long-term customer loyalty and achieve high-volume sales objectives. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development: Proactively solicit new fleet and commercial accounts through cold calling, networking, and direct visits to prospective customers. Develop and execute an annual business plan and sales strategy for the assigned territory or customer segment. Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including vehicle specifications, available customizations, and financing/leasing options. Manage the end-to-end sales process, including proposal preparation, negotiating bids and special pricing, and closing agreements. Account Management & Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all fleet account needs, ensuring an exceptional purchase and service experience. Conduct regular contact with existing Fleet Managers via phone, email, or in- person to ensure satisfaction and maintain continued loyalty. Accurately process purchase orders and coordinate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, operations, finance) to oversee vehicle acquisition and timely delivery logistics. Resolve any issues or concerns for fleet customers promptly and professionally. Administration & Reporting: Forecast monthly and yearly fleet car and truck deliveries and sales volumes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer contact and opportunity information in the CRM system. Ensure all necessary paperwork, contracts, and dealership payments for delivered vehicles are completed and processed. Monitor market trends and competitive information to develop an advantageous position for the company. Basic Qualifications * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial, fleet, or high-volume automotive sales. * In-depth knowledge of commercial fleet vehicles, industry regulations, and the fleet bidding process. * Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Required Skills & Abilities * Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills. * Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to manage complex contracts. * Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills. * Ability to perform basic financial and mathematical calculations related to discounts, commissions, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). * A strategic thinker with a proven ability to set and surpass sales goals.
