Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting store operations to ensure a seamless retail environment. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store operations is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling * Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales * Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize product displays * Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly labeled and replenished * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly * Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts * Use bilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse customers when applicable * Apply phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries * Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily operations as needed Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred * Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations * Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette * Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management * Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus * Supervising experience is desirable but not required; leadership qualities are valued * Bilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving a diverse customer base * Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor * Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced retail setting Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 28.0 per week Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule Language: * Spanish (Preferred) Work Location: In person
