Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. This role involves engaging with customers, managing sales transactions, and supporting store operations to ensure a seamless retail environment. Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store operations is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling
• Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and organize product displays
• Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly labeled and replenished
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts
• Use bilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse customers when applicable
• Apply phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
• Support supervising staff in training new team members or overseeing daily operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store, or similar environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus
• Supervising experience is desirable but not required; leadership qualities are valued
• Bilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving a diverse customer base
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced retail setting Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 28.0 per week
