For over 40 years, we have proudly served contractors across Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. Known as experts in the roofing industry, we provide a one-stop- shop experience for commercial roofing products, siding, windows, waterproofing materials, and accessories--backed by exceptional customer service and long-term business partnerships. We are seeking a driven, customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to grow market share, build lasting relationships, and exceed sales goals within an assigned territory. What You Will Do * Achieve and exceed sales targets while driving revenue growth within the assigned territory * Build, maintain, and grow relationships with contractors and key accounts * Prospect daily to identify new business opportunities and acquire new customers * Present, promote, and sell exterior building products including roofing, siding, windows, and waterproofing materials * Identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that exceed expectations * Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals * Monitor market trends and competitive activity * Track sales activity and performance using CRM tools * Collaborate with branch operations and internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience * Develop strong partnerships with customers and vendors * Rapidly expand product knowledge with support from Sales and Marketing leadership * Participate in weekly oneonone meetings with the Director of Sales and Marketing * Build personal networks and engage in professional associations * Win business and consistently meet or exceed quota objectives Who You Are * Competitive, goaldriven, and motivated to win * Proven success in outside B2B sales and territory management * Minimum of 3 years of experience in exterior building materials or constructionrelated sales * Knowledge of roofing industry products and offerings preferred * Strong negotiation, closing, and analytical skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Comfortable using CRM systems and sales technology * Highly organized with strong attention to detail * Independent selfstarter who thrives in a competitive environment * Strong relationshipbuilder and "people person" * B2C sales experience encouraged * Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred Role-Specific Requirements * Reliable transportation * Willingness to travel locally within a 60mile radius of branch locations * Local travel only (no overnight travel required) Compensation & Benefits * Competitive base pay plus commission * Commissionbased compensation package * Vehicle allowance * Companyprovided laptop and cell phone * 401(k) with company match * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Life insurance * Employee assistance program * Paid time off and sick leave * Advancement and growth opportunities About GW Murphy Inc Founded in the early 1970s by Gary Wayne Murphy Sr., a determined Southern entrepreneur, GW Murphy Inc. began as a one-man roofing materials operation.
