Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities: * Operate POS systems efficiently and effectively to process transactions accurately and quickly * Prompt to greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections * Handle cash and transactions with precision and integrity * Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities and create return customers * Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits * Maintain high and clean merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented as instructed * Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience * Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations as requested * Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, show floor, backroom, and bathrooms as instructed * Adhere to store policies and basic human decency on safety and hygiene Skills * Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures * Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening * Bilingual abilities are preferred to assist diverse customer needs * Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous * Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management * Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product placement strategies * Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to increase sales revenue * Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor * Basic math skills for handling cash registers and calculating totals or discounts * Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is desirable This role offers an engaging work environment where your enthusiasm for retail can shine.
