Job Summary: The Residential Sales Representative is responsible for managing leads generated from all sources, managing them in Houzz, conducting in-home consultations, accurately scoping projects, generating estimates, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the pre-construction process. This role demands organization, professionalism, technical knowledge of residential renovations, and strong interpersonal skills to build trust with the customer and close deals. Office attendance is required Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, unless on a sales visit or manager has approved the salesperson to work from home. Key Responsibilities: Lead Management & Appointment Coordination * Facilitate inbound calls as needed and handle appropriately and promptly follow up with leads generated via Houzz when assigned leads from the office manager. * Confirm and attend appointments punctually and in proper attire. * Notify customers through Houzz when en route to their scheduled appointment or for any communication required between the Residential Sales Representative and the customer. Client Meetings & Site Walkthroughs * Dress appropriately: Khaki pants, collared company-logo shirt, and clean work boots or shoes for site visits. It is required to have multiple shirts on hand to change into prior to a customer meeting. Jackets and shirts with company logos are supplied by All Weather, khaki pants and shirts are the responsibility of the employee. * Build rapport with clients by being friendly, courteous, and professional. * Ask relevant personal and sales-oriented questions to guide conversations and build trust. * Clearly manage and communicate customer expectations, including potential costs, timelines, and processes. Site Documentation & Scoping * Take detailed notes, sketches, photos, and videos of the site and project area, uploading all data into Houzz. * Identify special instructions and document logistical information including: * Parking/access points * Pets on site * Neighbor concerns * HOA restrictions or approvals * Pathways, materials access, and other constraints * Ensure thorough and organized documentation to support accurate project quoting. Estimating & Quote Generation * For simple projects (e.g., bathrooms, decks), provide on-site quotes when feasible through SalesPro software. * Return home or to the office after appointments to finalize and send estimates and follow up with customers. * Create estimates in Houzz using the proper templates for accurate pricing, material costs, and detailed line items. * Ensure each estimate reaches the minimum profit margin qualification threshold. * Submit projects over $50,000 to Sales Manager for review and approval. * Quote on site whenever possible, but deliver finalized quotes to clients within 24 business hours of consultation. Post-Quote Follow-Up & Closing * Maintain timely, professional communication with clients to close sales. * Track quote status and follow up until the deal is closed or declined. * If the quote is declined, the sales representative is to follow up with the customer and inquire why they declined. * If during the original estimate the customer alluded to more projects but want to hold off, set a certain time down the line in Google Calendar to follow up before their projected estimate/project start date. Internal Collaboration & Project Handoff * Participate in weekly Monday meetings with Project Managers to: * Review new leads * Discuss pending quotes * Complete formal handoffs for sold projects * Complete the transition from lead to active project per the Hand Off Document in Google Drive. * Assist the Project Manager during execution of projects, particularly for high-touch clients or specialty jobs. Required Skills & Attributes: * Must have both construction and in-home sales experience building and selling bathrooms, decks, kitchens, and basements. Must be intimately familiar with the residential work we do on a daily basis. * Strong communication and customer service skills * Sales-driven with attention to client needs and details * Organized, with effective note-taking skills * Experience with residential renovation scopes and construction basics * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Proficiency with Houzz platform and SalesPro systems (training provided) * Professional appearance and demeanor at all times Work Conditions: * Must maintain personal or company vehicle in good condition and up to date on services at all times. * Office attendance for Monday morning meeting required unless a revenue generating activity requires their presence. * Must comply with dress code at all times. * Occasional extended hours may be required to conduct appointments, complete estimates, or meet deadlines. Compensation: * Training pay is $18/hr and the training period should not exceed 3 months. The salesperson will transition to salary + commissions at the discretion of the Sales Director. * $30k-$45k salary + commissions of up to 10% of markup based on final markup to the customer. The full commission plan will be disclosed prior to hiring and included in the offer letter. * Half of all commissions are paid when the deal is closed and the customer pays the deposit. The second half of commission is paid when the project has been fully delivered on time and at or above margin targets. * The salesman will be subject to the following KPI's for their commission: meeting 35% close rate, meeting at minimum 70% of the target quota of $3M and selling projects at the minimum markup per project of 30%. * A company vehicle will be provided no earlier than after 90 days of employment and at the discretion of the Sales Director. * Insurance & benefits are TBD Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company car Work Location: In personAll Weather Renovations, LLC
