Customer service is our highest priority and a priority for employment. Position Overview The Service Advisor has the primary responsibility for " managing the service event ". This includes planning and responding to day-to-day customer questions, requests and service needs. Work in conjunction with the Service Manager, parts department and administrative staff as an internal resource to insure that customers are 100% satisfied with the customer support experience, products and services that Blue Valley Tractor provides. Our products include - Commercial & Residential lawn mowers, tractors, implements, Hand-held equipment, aerators, seeders, utility vehicles, trailers, generators, small engines, etc. A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of repair and servicing equipment and vehicles is required to excel in the Service Advisor position Responsibilities * Greet customers in a friendly, courteous manner and determine their service needs.* Open work orders for all service events and update as new information is attained. * Ability to communicate and sell estimates to customers. * Create COD accounts for new customers. * Coordinate Quick Serve process with shop technicians. * Prepare job plans and estimates as required. * Coordinate scheduling and transportation logistics with transport driver. * Create accurate, detailed invoices based on repairs performed. * Customer liaison for all service requests. * Maintain a full understanding of Mfg warranty and policies. * Assure collection of all COD accounts. * Keep up to date on Manufacturer's products, services and procedures. Required Skills Technical Aptitude: Must have experience or technical knowledge with automotive or outdoor power equipment repair. Equipment (mowers, tractors, chains saws, seeders, tillers, snow blowers, electrical, hydraulics etc.) * Commitment to Task: Able to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency. Communication (Spoken and Written):Able to clearly and effectively present ideas and to document activities. To read and interpret written information. The ability to adjust language and terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience. Customer Led: Able to show care and concern for customers and make them feel valued. Willing to deliver timely and reliable customer support and exceed customer expectations. Experience:3+ years in a customer service in mechanical repair related field. Computer Literate:* Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and BMS. Typing: Minimum of 45 wpm.
