Job

Duties and Responsibilities

:

• Reviewing and interpreting civil, structural and geotechnical construction documents.
• Preparing estimates and proposals for ground support solutions based on your interpretation of these documents.
• Pre-bid geotechnical and structural design calculations in support of sales efforts using our in-house or commercial computer-aided design software packages.
• Communicating with Clients, Engineers and Architects in order to move the sales process forward to a successful contract.
• Negotiating contract terms and closing of sales where you are designated as the sales lead.
• Making technical presentations to prospects and supporting the educational training of Menard clientele.
• Working with other members of the sales and engineering teams on a regular basis.
• Supporting the Marketing and Business Development departments by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
• Business development and search for new opportunities and clients.
• Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with our customers. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Understanding of engineering science and technology, design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field plus 5 years of experience in geotechnical construction. -OR- any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Physical
