Overview We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Home Improvement Sales Representative to join our sales team. This includes conducting in-home sales presentations, assessing customer needs for renovations, providing product solutions, and closing sales. Key responsibilities involve building customer relationships, explaining project scopes and costs, preparing contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction after the sale. The role typically requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, sales experience, and the ability to travel within a designated territory Duties * Conduct in-home sales presentations: Deliver interactive and persuasive sales presentations to potential and existing customers. * Assess customer needs: Meet with clients in their homes to understand their renovation and remodeling goals. * Provide solutions: Offer product and service solutions that match customer needs, explain project details, and provide estimates. * Close sales: Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales goals. * Manage customer relationships: Act as the main point of contact throughout the project, manage ongoing communication, and resolve any issues that arise. * Maintain records: Keep sales and client databases updated with current information. * Stay informed: Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on industry developments and product information. Requirements * Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills are crucial. * Sales experience: Previous experience in commission-driven, in-home, or business-to-consumer sales is often preferred. * Self-motivation: A high degree of self-motivation, determination, and the ability to work independently are essential. * Product knowledge: A good understanding of home improvement products and materials is required. * Education: A high school diploma is generally the minimum requirement, though some positions may prefer a bachelor's degree. * Technical skills: Computer proficiency and experience with sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software may be needed. * Other: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are typically required for travel.
