Job Description Join our winning team at Communication Concepts, an industry-leading 38-year- old company located in the DFW metroplex specializing in the integration of life safety communications, access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, audio-visual, and other life safety systems. We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record of success to join our Business Development Team. This candidate will cultivate existing warm relationships as well as create new ones with technology and facility executives from public, private and charter schools, colleges & universities, healthcare, and corporate end-user vertical markets. This individual will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between market potential and business reality, ensuring sustainable revenue streams for the organization. This role is pivotal in achieving the company's growth objectives and requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship- building expertise, and strong sales acumen. Key Responsibilities * Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and analyze market trends to identify potential business opportunities and target clients. * Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners while actively seeking new clients and partnerships. * Develop Strategies: Create and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives. * Sales and Negotiation: Prepare and present business proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements to secure new business opportunities. * Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure successful execution of business initiatives. * Networking: Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to promote business growth and establish connections. Experience Ideal candidates have outside sales experience in with the following: Systems of Technical Knowledge * Emergency communication systems * Fire alarm systems * Access control systems * Video surveillance systems * Emergency responder radio communication enhancement systems * Audio visual and sound reinforcement systems Applicable Technical Skills * Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills * Customer relations management * Sales forecasting * Sales methodology * Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Word and Excel, Bluebeam Revu and other digital collaboration tools Personal Attributes * Self-motivated / self-driven and able to work independently. * Strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth. * Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs. * A track record of making mature decisions in your professional growth * Articulate and skilled in communicating ideas and information logically * Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and customer service skills * The ability to independently identify and strategically work through complex issues * Natural "sense of urgency" and determination when meeting deadlines * Consistent behavioral patterns * Professional appearance and mannerisms * Clear and concise written communication skills * Maturity when interacting with difficult people and situations * Identifying completely with "It's all about the Team!"
