Position Overview: Our client has built its reputation on excellent customer service. The Sales Consultant must have strong communication skills, provide great customer service, is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence and innovation, be highly competitive, self-driven and focused to set and hit department goals and objectives. We are looking for an outgoing, customer minded, boat enthusiast with the spirit and drive to do "whatever it takes" to get the job done and take care of the customer. The Sales Consultant must demonstrate an energized and focused work attitude and work well in a professional team environment. The Sales Consultant must be ethical and trustworthy at the highest level. In addition, they must be willing to work long hours, including weekends, and have a positive attitude toward staff, management, ownership and most importantly, the customer. * Our Way* : * To deliver the ultimate boating experience. Essential Job Duties: * Grow Boat Sales by increasing existing market share plus targeting new markets. * Complete knowledge and understanding of our product line. * Help maintain a high level of dealership cleanliness. * Ensure that we are meeting or exceeding the expectations of each & every customer. * Help manage all new and used inventory. * Help organize and move all boat sales inventory as needed (show rms, for service, on water, boat shows, etc.) * Help maintain all sales inventory to always make presentable to customer - including uncovering/covering, cleaning, fueling, etc. * Constant follow up on all prospects both for new and used boats. * Create and update all leads and prospects in our Lead Management System (LMS). * Appropriately schedule and clearly communicate with all necessary parties throughout the entire sales process - including to the customer, to other boat sales staff, to admin staff, to service staff, etc. * Help plan, organize, and execute all boat sales events and shows. * Attending all weekly sales meetings and all Boat Show events. * Must be able to communicate with customers and staff clearly and professionally * Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays. * Must act in accordance with the "Culture" - friendly, positive, professional, hardworking, respectful of others, and honest. * Expected to help other depts. as needed. * Expected to maintain your workspace (office, showroom, sales pier, etc.) in a clean and organized fashion. * Primary Responsibilities: * Selling boats * Growing boat sales and market share. * Identify growth opportunities for boat sales. * Develop, implement & execute plans targeting market opportunities to grow boat sales. * Measure results & make changes as necessary to improve boat sales. * Complete knowledge and understanding of our dealership & product lines and all our competitors. * Complete knowledge and understanding of our target customers and demographic. * Always make decisions that are in the best interest of the organization. * Bring a positive attitude and help create a positive work environment for all team members. Customer Service: * Ensure that the customer's experience is of the highest quality. Making happy customers. * Make the sales & delivery process easy and enjoyable for all customers. * Ensure high levels of communication with both customers and the service team to address any issues promptly. * Develop long-lasting relationships with customers. * Continually grow repeat and referral business * Operations* : * Have regular daily communication with Sales and F&I Manager(s) to help facilitate boat sales. * Attend weekly sales meetings (by conf call) to stay current with all sales activity (sold follow-up, leads, deals WIP, etc). * Use CRM effectively to consistently track all sold follow-up, deals WIP and prospecting to maximize opportunities. * Help plan, organize, and execute all boat sales events and shows. * Help organize and move all boat sales inventory as needed (on water, boat shows, showrooms, service, etc.) * Help maintain all sales inventory to ensure it is always properly presentable to customers - including uncovering/covering, cleaning, fueling, etc. * Be willing to attend manufacturer & training seminars including other dealership visits. * Have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends. * Be a resourceful problem solver * Employee Relations: * Be a great team player, always willing to do what is best for the team 1st. * Continually foster and promote a "can do/willing to help" attitude with the entire sales team, service team and all other departments. * Live the company values and help make those around you better. Skills and Abilities: * Strong communication skills * Good at quickly building rapport. * Competitive * Good at selling/upselling * Good time management * Results-driven - good at setting and hitting goals. * Driven to take care of our customers and team members at a high level. * Problem solver that takes initiative * Positive attitude and willingness to have some fun. * Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Salesforce * Passion for the boating lifestyle Education/Experience Required: * Degree preferred. * Previous Marina and Sales experience preferred. * Valid Driver's License, Car, and Phone. * Physical Requirements* : * Sitting for long periods * Standing/Moving occasionally as taking videos and pictures Travel Requirements: * Travel to lakes in the Fox Lake territory to meet with customers. * Other travel may be required. Work Schedule Requirements: * Tuesday - Saturday 9 am to 6 pm, will vary with appointments, in water events and boat shows. * In office to complete on location tasks * Occasional remote work is permitted when appointments are set with customersOVERWATCH Mission Critical
