Qualifications

for Account Manager Internal Applicants

• At least one year as a Carrier Manager w/recommendation from Director of Operations
• At least one year in Accounting w/recommendation from Director of Finance
• Must be willing to obtain CTB (Certified Transportation Broker) certificate if not currently certified (All expenses are covered by L&L Freight Services) External Applicants
• 3+ years' experience in the transportation industry with a focus in a sales oriented position
• 2+ years' Brokerage experience
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
• TMS experience preferred but not required
• Existing business contacts
• Knowledge of pricing TL shipments and market awareness
• Hunter mentality
• Team-oriented
• Microsoft Word/Excel knowledge

Responsibilities

• Develop new business with existing clients
• Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Negotiate Contract and Spot Market pricing to maximize profits
• Collaborate with your Carrier Managers to identify carrier needs to grow opportunities with new and current customers
• Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accounts
• Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our shipments according to customer needs and objectives
• Drive POD to exceed monthly profit and margin goals
• After hours on call on a rotational basis with other POD members Secondary
