Full description of the position

Department: Sales Reports to: Sales Manager Summary of Role: The Account Manager strategically collaborates with companies to meet their supply chain and logistical needs. Playing a key role in all aspects of customer communication, creating long-term relationships with the existing accounts you manage, and establishing new relationships with prospective customers. You will be empowered to expand services, increase efficiency, and maximize profitability throughout Becker's service offerings. The Account Manager will need to have proven freight skills, experience, and a strong team mentality. Responsibilities: * Relationship Management * Dealing with escalated issues, AC support, and issues with Customer rates and additional charges * Building rapport with multiple levels of an organization * Quoting/ RFP Management/ Bid Boards * Also includes all email quotes from Customers * Organic Growth * Strong focus on increasing book of business * Uncovering new opportunities * Seeking new contacts * Selling different services/modes to current customers * Asking for Referrals * Providing Excellent Customer Service/ Timely Service * Maintaining service levels for Customers * Maintaining Scorecards for Customers [if applicable] * Partnering with Operations * Monitoring the load board * Communicating priorities to Operations * Inquiring about loads that are not moving * Delegating to Account Coordinators * Communicating with AC to ensure Customer requirements are being met * Helping to train new Acs that join the team * Maintaining New Business Acquisition * Calling new Customers * Getting new Customers [2 per month] * Prospecting Leads * Company Initiatives and All Other Tasks * Being present and attentive in meetings * Providing feedback on things that need to improve * Business Review Calls * Complete a BRC with 80% of all Customers each quarter * Completing Discovery Calls for new Customers * Completing Daily Activities * Maintaining daily Outbound Call expectation * Maintaining daily CRM activities * Cleaning up CRM daily * Emails Requirements: * A bachelor's degree in sales preferred * 7+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry * 5+ year of experience in sales, operations, account management, or similar functions * Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution * Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills * Comfortable with change * Resourceful and flexible * Ability to multi-task and stay organized * Manage and prioritize competing demands * Excel proficiency preferred * Experience with McLeod Software preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Vision insurance Experience: * logistics: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: * Glendale Heights, IL 60139 (Preferred) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Glendale Heights, IL 60139
