Description: Job Title: Outside Sales Reports to: Vice President of Sales FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: Outside sales positions communicate with Customers and leads to identify and suggest product needs by demonstrating the functions of the products to meet their needs. Outside Sales Responsibilities: * Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. * Builds and maintains relationships with current clientele to enhance purchasing targets and encourage repeat business. * Communicates with Customers and Leads to identify and understand product or service needs; identify product recommendations to meet those needs. * Demonstrates the function of the products to Customers based on their needs. * Ensures Customer satisfaction through on-going communication and relationship management; resolves issues that arise post-sale. * Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services and enhancements that be of interest. * Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any Customer or vendor relationship problems. * Responsible for maintaining territory sales forecasts. * Responsible for developing leads to meet sales targets. Requirements: Outside Sales Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Undergraduate Degree (preferred) * Previous sales experience * Knowledge of appliance, lighting or plumbing industry (preferred) * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to obtain results and comfortable with team-spirited competition. * Provides exceptional Customer Service through enthusiasm for the Company and products offered. * Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented and proficient in basic computer skills. * Must be able to travel up to 75%. Physical Requirements and Preferred Experience: * Must be able to communicate with Customers and Builders. * Must be able to use a standard computer. * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
