Role Overview The Business Development & Admissions Growth Manager at Drift Behavioral Health is responsible for increasing admissions and average daily census by building and maintaining ethical, high-quality referral relationships across Colorado and surrounding regions. This role requires a deep understanding of recovery-oriented care and is best suited for someone with lived experience in recovery or significant professional experience working in recovery- focused settings. This is a relationship-driven role focused on trust, credibility, and long- term partnerships--particularly with detox programs, residential treatment centers, hospitals, and referring clinicians--to support Drift Behavioral Health's PHP and IOP programs. Key Objectives * Increase admissions and stabilize census for PHP and IOP levels of care * Build a strong, recovery-aligned referral pipeline with detox and residential programs * Strengthen Drift Behavioral Health's presence and reputation within the Colorado recovery community * Support sustainable, ethical growth aligned with clinical best practices Key ResponsibilitiesAdmissions & Census Growth * Drive consistent, clinically appropriate referral volume aligned with census goals * Collaborate with admissions and clinical leadership to ensure strong clinical fit * Track outreach activity, referral sources, and admission outcomes Referral Network Development * Build and maintain professional relationships with: * Detox and residential treatment programs * Hospitals, emergency departments, and crisis services * Therapists, psychiatrists, and outpatient providers * Case managers, discharge planners, and care coordinators * Serve as a trusted point of contact grounded in recovery principles * Strengthen step-down and step-up pathways between detox and PHP/IOP services Market Presence & Outreach * Represent Drift Behavioral Health authentically within the recovery community * Conduct in-person and virtual outreach throughout Colorado * Attend industry events, provider meetings, and community forums * Educate referral partners on Drift's clinical philosophy, levels of care, and admissions criteria Compliance & Ethical Standards * Conduct all outreach in compliance with: * Federal and state anti-kickback laws * Ethical marketing and referral standards * Drift Behavioral Health policies and procedures * Maintain clear boundaries--no improper inducements or referral incentives Internal Collaboration * Partner with admissions, utilization review, and clinical teams to: * Improve referral-to-admission conversion * Identify market trends and referral gaps * Provide field feedback to leadership QualificationsRequired * Lived experience in recovery or substantial professional experience working in recovery-oriented settings (e.g., detox, residential, PHP/IOP, sober living, peer services) * Experience in business development, outreach, admissions, or referral management within behavioral health or healthcare * Strong understanding of detox, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care * Proven ability to build trust-based, professional referral relationships * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Ability to travel locally and regionally within Colorado Preferred * Existing relationships within Colorado's recovery or detox ecosystem * Background in admissions, care coordination, case management, or peer services * Familiarity with compliance and ethical standards in behavioral health Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
