LOCAL Candidates to Chicagoland - HYBRID position, NOT fully Remote Business Development Manager - Leverage Our Success, Expand Our Reach At ProPay HR , we've been a trusted payroll partner since 2012. This is a unique opportunity to step in as the first dedicated sales hire for our company -- a chance to build on a strong foundation, not start from scratch. We've already proven our payroll business model works, especially within the Healthcare vertical , where long-term relationships, accuracy, and trust matter most. Now, we're ready to thoughtfully expand. We're looking for a Business Development Manager who's not just a closer, but someone who understands the value of trust, consultative selling, and long-term partnerships. You'll build on the strong foundation we already have--while charting a path into new Industries. Your Day-to-Day: * Capitalize on Warm Leads & Referrals - Work from a base of existing client goodwill to drive new business opportunities. * Open Doors in New Industries - Identify and pursue opportunities beyond healthcare--our service is universal, and we're ready to share it. * Own the Sales Process - Prospect, present, negotiate, and close. You'll manage it all. * Tell Our Story - Show businesses how we make payroll easier, more accurate, and more personal. * Collaborate & Build - Work alongside leadership to refine our sales strategy and support ongoing company growth. You Might Be a Fit If You Have: * 5+ years of experience in B2B sales (especially payroll, HR, financial services, or outsourcing). * A track record of building client relationships and winning trust. * Experience selling to small or midsize businesses in a variety of industries. * A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work independently. * Local presence near Evanston, IL , with an interest in hybrid work. * An Established Foundation - Our growth so far has come from reputation and results.
