Overview

: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product recommendations, and ensuring a well-organized shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

: - Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. - Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions. - Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while maintaining cash handling protocols. - Recommend products that fit the customers needs while also educating them about the benefits of said products with the goal to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction. - Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products or services. - Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves effectively. - Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. - Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom areas. - Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and inventory management. - Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone. Skills: - Proven experience in retail sales with a strong understanding of retail store operations. - Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering responsibilities. - Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members in English. Being bilingual is an added bonus. - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. - Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus. - Proficient in product knowledge that engages customers and drives sales. - Follow instructions, while also being open to constructive criticism. - Adherence and accountability to a schedule once made. - Excellent customer service skills that foster positive relationships with shoppers.
