Personal Lines Account Manager Location: Cornelius, NC Reports to: Personal Lines Manager / Agency Principal The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for servicing and retaining a portfolio of personal insurance clients by providing high-quality, proactive account management. This role focuses on policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, remarketing, and client communication while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong carrier relationships. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple accounts in a fast-paced agency environment. Key Responsibilities Client Service & Retention * Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned personal lines clients * Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence * Build long-term relationships through proactive service and coverage reviews Policy Management * Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and rewrites accurately and efficiently * Manage renewals including remarketing when appropriate to ensure competitive pricing and coverage * Review policies for accuracy and completeness prior to issuance Quoting & Remarketing * Obtain and prepare quotes with multiple carriers as needed * Present coverage options and recommendations clearly to clients * Follow agency guidelines for documentation and approvals Documentation & Compliance * Maintain detailed, accurate notes and documentation in the agency management system * Ensure all files meet agency standards, carrier requirements, and regulatory compliance * Obtain and retain required signatures, disclosures, and supporting documents Carrier & Team Collaboration * Work directly with carrier underwriters to resolve issues and place coverage * Collaborate with producers and team members to support new business and retention goals * Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Required * Active Property & Casualty insurance license * 2+ years of Personal Lines insurance experience preferred * Strong knowledge of personal auto, homeowners, umbrella, and related products * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * High attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred * Experience in an independent insurance agency * Familiarity with agency management systems (Ezlynx Preferred) * Ability to manage a high volume of accounts with accuracy and professionalism Skills & Attributes * Customer-focused mindset * Strong time management and prioritization skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Professional judgment when handling coverage questions and escalations * Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and service excellence Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary based on experience * Health insurance and voluntary benefits * Retirement plan with employer match * Paid time off and holidays * Continuing education and licensing support Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
