Business Development Lead Office Locations: Fort Collins & Grover, CO Company: Pawnee Waste LLC Department: Sales Reports To: Director of Business Development Compensation: $80,000+ base salary plus commission Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt About the Role Pawnee Waste is seeking a motivated Business Development Lead to drive growth across our Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Manufacturing customer base. This hybrid, field-facing role focuses on expanding client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and increasing brand visibility in the Northern Colorado market. The ideal candidate thrives on relationship-building, enjoys being in the field, and brings strong initiative to sales and marketing efforts. Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Development * Lead new business outreach in the Oil & Gas and Industrial sectors * Build and maintain client relationships through outbound engagement, networking, and referrals * Conduct meetings and presentations with prospective customers * Collaborate with the Client Administrator to maintain consistent and professional communication * Track and report business development activity, sales progress, and lead status Marketing & Outreach * Develop and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, digital content, and promotional items * Coordinate and execute client events, sponsorships, and trade show participation * Represent Pawnee Waste at industry and community events * Manage logistics and scheduling for business development activities Strategy & Reporting * Support development of regional sales plans and growth initiatives * Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies * Collaborate with leadership to enhance market visibility and brand positioning * Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management * Experience in Oil & Gas, Industrial, or Manufacturing industries preferred * Strong communication and presentation skills * Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales tracking tools * Willingness to learn landfill operations and waste acceptance standards Working Conditions * Hybrid position: office and field-based work * Regular travel throughout Northern Colorado required * Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods * Occasional after-hours or weekend events * Company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and business expense card provided Why Join Pawnee Waste At Pawnee Waste, we are committed to serving industry and community with environmental stewardship.
