Regional Sales Engineer - Northern California (Geotechnical Focus) * *Location: Northern California (Bay Area, Sacramento, or nearby) Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Travel: 50-75% within California About the Role We're seeking an experienced Regional Sales Engineer to support the Northern California region. This role combines technical geotechnical engineering expertise with client-facing sales responsibilities to deliver innovative ground improvement and foundation solutions. The Regional Sales Engineer will play a key role in providing geotechnical design support, building client relationships, and driving business development in the construction and infrastructure markets. Key Responsibilities As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will: * Develop cost-effective geotechnical designs using proprietary ground improvement systems * Act as a liaison between design teams, contractors, and clients * Generate and manage project pipelines, leads, and sales opportunities * Prepare proposals, bids, and technical submittals (including sealed designs when licensed) * Conduct technical evaluations of soil and structural data * Track and report regional performance metrics Qualifications To be successful as a Regional Sales Engineer, you should have: * Education: BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred * Licensure: Active PE license strongly preferred * Experience: 2+ years in geotechnical or structural engineering; sales or business development experience a plus * Technical Skills: Strong understanding of ground improvement, soil mechanics, and foundation systems * Soft Skills: Excellent communication, relationship management, and consultative selling skills * Work Style: Self-directed, motivated, and collaborative with internal and external partners Compensation & Benefits * Base Salary: $95,000-$102,000 (depending on experience and location) * Bonus Structure: Sales incentive plan (60/40 or 65/35 split, paid monthly) * Benefits: * Medical and dental coverage starting day one * 401(k) with 4.5% match at 6% contribution (fully vested after 2 years) * Employee Stock Purchase Plan (annual) * Vehicle allowance for travel Ideal Candidate Background The ideal Regional Sales Engineer thrives in both technical design and customer-facing environments.
