Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product features, and driving sales through effective upselling and merchandising. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail sales skills in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including stock management, cashiering, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere. Bilingual abilities and prior experience in grocery or retail stores are a plus, enabling better communication with diverse customers and enhancing overall shopping experiences. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store * Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits * Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties * Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction * Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking techniques * Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves as needed and monitoring stock levels * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience * Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries * Supervise or assist in supervising team members when necessary, fostering a collaborative environment * Assist with basic retail math tasks related to sales, inventory, and pricing adjustments Qualifications * Previous experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or similar environments preferred * Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions * Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively * Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies desired * Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base * Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are valued * Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for success in this role * Ability to work well in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when needed This position offers an engaging work environment where your interpersonal skills can shine while contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.
