It has been our friendly, caring staff that has helped to ensure the success of our catering and restaurant operation for so many years. We are looking to add a sales and events position for our Restaurant and Catering Service. This position will be responsible for generating and acquiring new business as well as maintaining and servicing existing clients. The position offers hourly pay plus commissions on sales. In addition to being our front line for new sales; you will assist with the daily operations of our restaurant and catering office. A proven track record in sales is important and customer service experience is a must for answering phones and assisting customers in person and on line. Strong written and spoken communication skills will help the right candidate excel with both external and internal customers. You should be computer savvy and use programs like Microsoft Office, Adobe, Word and Publisher. We use a POS system for restaurant orders and a specialized platform for our catering business. Other duties include answering and handling a 3-line phone system single handed with support during busier times and seasons. Helping customers with simple lunch orders as well as creating menus from our carry-out catering offerings when clients are having small gatherings but do not quite need staffing. You will create lists for food preparation for kitchen staff and work with the kitchen team on the timing and execution of orders. You will produce menus and keep current menus updated as needed. Someone creative to work on social media posts and other advertising would be ideal. You will help catering clients with staffed events making menu and proposal changes and updates and be willing to help where needed. You will definitely never get bored here! Although primary duties are listed; there are plenty of additional office related duties to accomplish. A candidate with a strong interest and background in Catering and Events will best fit this position. This position is also best and almost required for a self-motivated individual who prefers very little supervision. Once you understand the job duties.. we need you to take the ball and get it done. We are a small company and each person works individually but in unison to achieve a successful end result.
