Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, project managers, and key stakeholders. * Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for fire sprinkler projects based on blueprints, specifications, and job site assessments. * Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate scope and gather essential data for estimating. * Lead project walkthroughs and collaborate with the design and operations teams to ensure accurate bidding. * Submit proposals and manage bid follow-up communications. * Negotiate contracts and close sales while maintaining profit margins. * Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings. * Stay informed about market trends, code changes, and competitor activity. * Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and client communications in the company CRM. Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, within the fire sprinkler industry is required. * High school diploma or GED required; further technical education or NICET certifications a plus. * RME (Responsible Managing Employee) certification is a strong advantage. * Strong understanding of fire protection systems, NFPA standards, and construction processes. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Must be able to work well within our team, as well as with our clients. * Proficient with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and basic digital tools. * Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines. * Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits.
