Bi-Lingual Sales Representative FUNCTIONAL ROLE The basic function of Salesperson is to assist customers with their purchasing decisions on the sales floor or via phone. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Salesperson reports directly to the Sales Manager. REQUIREMENTS Education: High School diploma required. College degree preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience. Power equipment experience also appreciated. Skills & Knowledge: Ability to understand customer requirements and use knowledge of products to recommend equipment that meets customers needs. Physical: Full use of all senses, including physical ability to stand continually, sit, crouch, bend reach, walk, climb, and maneuver well. Mental: Able to multitask. Able to work under pressure. Good customer service skills. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working conditions will be in the retail store with some work done outside. AUTHORITY The Salesperson has the authority to complete sales and apply standard or previously approved discounts to customers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Related: The major role of the Salesperson is to assist customers for sales and rentals. Specifically, the duties include: * Assist customers in selecting equipment for purchase * Respond to all customer inquiries for sales and rentals: in person, phone, email, etc. * Accurately complete sales transactions for both sales and rentals * Follow company credit policy for all sales * Maintain sales floor - including signage, prices, point of service material and arrangement of equipment and stock displays * Maintain a high level of knowledge on products carried by Interstate Supplies and Services * Maintain a high level of product knowledge relevant to the buying habits of the dealership clientele and local area * Assist Sales Manager in updating sales, marketing and promotional information * Assist Sales Manager in selecting appropriate vendors and lines of equipment for both sale and rental * Assist Sales Manager in developing guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction * Assist Sales Manager in establishing a pricing policy that balances volume, customer loyalty, and the cost of doing business * Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimum supervision * Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned Department Related: As a member of the sales team, the Salesperson will need to: * Promote and develop Interstate Supplies and Services image through exercising sound and ethical business practices * If possible resolve all customer complaints with the goal of reducing company expense and maintaining customer satisfaction * Ensure safe work practices are followed * Demonstrate good judgment in investigating problems * Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle difficult situations Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Compensation Package: * Bonus opportunities * Commission pay Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Education: * High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: * Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred) * Sales: 1 year (Preferred) * Financing: 1 year (Preferred) Language: * Spanish (Preferred) Work Location: In person
