Our company operates 11 stores from Idaho Falls Idaho to St. George Utah. The Retail Sales Manager is a leadership position with oversight and accountability for all aspects of marketing and merchandising of Alpine Home Medical's retail stores. A successful Retail Sales Manager is an experienced professional who is well- versed in store layout and design as well as retail/customer psychology. A successful candidate will be sales-minded with an acute sense of marketing trends in the industry and can quickly assess performance indicators and make necessary changes/recommendations to enhance the overall sales performance of a given branch. This position will have responsibility for the retail/marketing strategy, which includes (but is not limited to) showroom layout and design, staff training and development, product promoting and upselling techniques, and vendor partnerships. The goal of this position is not only to enhance the marketing experience, but to help drive retail sales and close rates. It is expected that the Retail Sales Manager will have tangible results and is accountable to senior management for the development of each store's marketing strategy and implementation (including training and follow-up with staff). This position will work under the direction of the President of Alpine Home Medical. Responsibilities and Duties: * Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of store goals for growth of store revenue in conjunction with company goals. * Training and development of staff on products, upselling techniques, and promotion of products. * Accountable to senior management for store sales improvement as a result of marketing plan implementation. * Focus on enhancing the marketing experience and driving retail sales growth. * Assist in outside marketing by working with referrals to drive retail sales. * Overseeing and initiating efficient, timely training of store staff. * Coordinating with the Store Manager regarding staff and patient care issues. * Assisting with overall marketing to enhance continued to profitable company growth. * Reviewing financial statements, sales and activity reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievements. * Maintaining proper store inventory levels and efficient, timely ordering of inventory items. * Planning, developing, and implementing company-wide showroom and retail area plans that will reflect the company's standard of excellence. * Work closely with the Director of Purchasing to implement new product offerings, as well as negotiating pricing/terms with vendors. * Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management. *What We 'll Need from You: * Demonstrated ability in creating successful retail sales marketing plans that lead to tangible sales results and increased close rates. * Knowledge/experience with Medicare and Medicaid, or other medical insurance billing requirements. * Skills in coaching, development, and performance management of other employees. * Ability to link industry trends into effective retail marketing strategies. * Ability to leverage and foster key working relationships with vendors/suppliers and generate effective retails sales strategies with these key players that result in increased visibility and sales of product. * Ability to function as a company leader demonstrating core values, positive attitude, and "can do" approach. * Ability to function on an interdisciplinary team. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Superior verbal and written communication skills. * Effective decision-making and troubleshooting skills. * Strong computer literacy. * Clean driving record, as this position will be responsible for frequent store visits. * A High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or in a related field is preferred.
