Outdoor Clothing & Gear Sales Specialist (Full-Time + Growth Opportunities) Location: Arvada Army Surplus - Olde Town Arvada, CO Pay: Pay: $18/hour to start | $20+/hour as Key Holder | $45-50K salary as Buyer Job Type: Full-time (Weekend availability required) Shift Times: Most shifts 12-8pm; some 8-4pm or 10-6pm About Us Arvada Army Surplus is a family-owned store serving Colorado's workers, adventurers, and gear lovers since 1984. We specialize in Carhartt, Levi 's, hiking and work boots, knives, outdoor gear, and military surplus--offering real service and expertise you won't find at big-box stores. You choose your own plan--we help pay for it. * Dental insurance * Paid time off - 10 vacation days after your first year * IRA retirement matching * Employee discounts on all gear and clothing You Might Be a Great Fit If You: * Enjoy hiking, camping, hunting, fishing , or just love gear * Have sold boots, workwear, knives, or outdoor clothing --or want to learn * Are friendly, confident , and love helping customers * Want to grow into leadership or buying roles * Can work weekends and show up on time, ready to work Job Responsibilities * Recommend and sell outdoor clothing, boots, and surplus gear * Assist customers with footwear fittings and gear selection * Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked * Operate the register and process transactions accurately * Contribute to a strong team culture --help where help is needed What You 'll Need * 1+ year of retail or customer service experience (outdoor or footwear a plus) * Good with people, product knowledge, and problem-solving * Basic computer and math skills * Able to stand for 8-hour shifts , lift boxes, and restock shelves This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment).
