Overview We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and ensuring the sales floor is well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in retail environments such as grocery stores, and the ability to handle transactions accurately. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs * Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and returns * Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits * Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service * Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking * Ensure shelves are stocked and organized according to store standards * Provide knowledgeable assistance on store products, including grocery items when applicable * Handle customer inquiries via phone with professional etiquette * Assist in supervising team members when necessary, including guiding new staff or interns * Support inventory management through stock checks and inventory replenishment Experience * Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred * Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math is essential * Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities * Proven ability to upsell and promote products effectively * Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and bilingual capabilities, are highly desirable * Experience with product demos, merchandising, and stock management will be advantageous * Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently This position offers an engaging work environment where your interpersonal skills and retail knowledge will be valued.
