Technical Account Manager / Sales Engineer (Packaging Design) Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) $90,000 - $100,000 + 10% Bonus + Global Training + Long-Term Progression + Full Benefits Excellent opportunity on offer for a Technical Account Manager / Sales Engineer / Packaging Engineer to join a globally established packaging solutions business, where you will play a key role supporting strategic international OEM customers within the lithium-ion battery and e-mobility sector. On offer is a senior, technically demanding, customer-facing role where you will act as the technical authority for a key account. You will lead engineering discussions, influence design decisions, and build credibility through a structured, fact-based, and analytical approach. The company is a global provider of engineered transport packaging solutions, operating across multiple industries and recognised for its technical depth, sustainability focus, and international footprint. As part of continued growth within advanced manufacturing and battery technologies, the business is expanding its technical engagement with major OEM customers and is seeking an individual capable of operating at senior engineering level. In this role, you will be the primary technical contact for large, technically sophisticated OEM customers, working closely with their engineering teams in the US while supporting long-term, high-value programs with extended development timelines. Internally, you will operate between customers and global engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are technically robust, operationally feasible, and commercially sound. The ideal candidate will come from a packaging engineering or technical sales background, possess strong CAD design capability, and be comfortable leading high-level technical discussions with demanding, detail-oriented stakeholders. This role suits someone who is already viewed as a subject-matter expert and is comfortable representing engineering decisions with confidence and authority.
