Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a positive shopping environment. Your ability to engage with customers, upsell products, and manage cash register operations will contribute significantly to the overall success of our store. Responsibilities * Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. * Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection. * Upsell products and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that all merchandise is properly displayed. * Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies. * Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction. * Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks as needed. * Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support. Skills * Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. * Experience with cash registers and POS systems is preferred. * Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately. * Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus. * Bilingual abilities are advantageous for effective communication with diverse customers. * Proven sales skills with a focus on upselling techniques. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
