PLEASE NOTE: Applicants with experience in interior design, home remodeling or home furnishings will be given priority. We sell large pieces of stone for kitchen and bath counters, bar tops, fireplaces and outdoor living spaces, and are surrounded by nature's art every day. We're proud of the service we provide. Customers are drawn to our showroom because we go out of our way to be friendly, to educate and to help things go smoothly in an important part of building or remodeling their home. There's a people side to the job - greeting homeowners, designers and contractors; helping them understand their options; and staying in touch by phone and email as they make their decision. And there's a physical part to the job - moving slabs and maintaining a safe, clean warehouse. These job skills are important to us: Provide Exceptional Customer Service * You'll make everyone feel welcome, regardless of how small or big their budget is. * You listen well. Details are crucial in our industry. Sales come from understanding a customer's needs and wishes, and being someone they can lean on in a process that can take months. * You're not pushy. Our sales work is not based on quotas or commissions. Help Manage an Attractive Warehouse * You're able to drive a forklift. * You have the physical strength and carefulness to move and guide slabs with the forklift, always as a two-person team. * You're interested in sales trends and opportunities. What's selling quickly, what's slower to move and what we should feature to set the tone for customers falling in love with what we sell. Show Care for Your Team * For us, this means good communication - typing up notes in our database about interactions with customers, giving updates about customer projects so others are prepared to pitch in when needed, and brainstorming solutions together versus getting stuck on the challenges.
