Sales Executive - B2B Our locally owned company, Waypoint Insurance Midwest, is growing and we are seeking a driven individual to join our business-to-business sales team. As an independent insurance agency, we provide value to our clients by working with the top carriers to find the perfect fit for the client. We focus on property & casualty insurance for businesses. Our Sales Executives are the key role in generating new opportunities and closing sales. The ideal candidate is competitive, organized, flexible, driving, and self-motivated, with some prospecting or closing experience. This role will be based onsite from our Overland Park office and will also spend time prospecting in-person and meeting with businesses locally in the metro area. The primary focus of the position is closing sales generated by prospecting in person and on the phone. The position will also support the sales team through tasks such as assistance with marketing campaigns. No prior insurance industry experience is necessary. Benefits include: * First year compensation target $80,000 ($60,000 base, plus commission), higher opportunity beyond * 15 days of paid time off annually * 7 paid national holidays annually * Opportunity for career development What does it take to be successful in this role? * Self-driven to hunt for and generate new sales opportunities * Competitive to achieve goals * Great relationship builder * Attention to detail * Exceptional work ethic solving problems * Highly organized and able to accurately maintain agency systems * Excellent communication skills Key Responsibilities: * Identify and qualify potential commercial clients through proactive cold calling (in-person and phone) * Assess clients' risk profiles, coverage needs, and business operations to recommend customized insurance programs * Meet with business owners and decision-makers at client sites to present appropriate commercial insurance products and services, and close sales * Collaborate with underwriters and account managers to ensure smooth policy implementation and servicing * Assist with client onboarding and renewals Qualifications: * Minimum of 2 years of sales experience - required * High school diploma - required * Bachelor's degree - preferred * Strong computer skills - required * Ability to learn and use multiple software applications - required * Property and Casualty Insurance License (or ability to obtain license within 90 days) - required * Must possess a valid driver's license We are excited to hear from you!
