Commercial Insurance Account Manager (Department Manager in Training) Job Summary Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Manager to join a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition into a Department Manager position by 2027, following a comprehensive 12-month training period. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in servicing a book of business, managing high-profile accounts, and leading a team of three professionals. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in commercial insurance and a passion for leadership. Responsibilities * Service and manage a mid-sized generalist commercial book of business. * Quote new and renewal business as required. * Undergo a structured 12-month training program to transition into the Department Manager role. * Lead and manage a team of three professionals starting in 2027. * Continue managing a small portfolio of high-profile accounts while overseeing the department. * Collaborate with the current Department Manager during the training period to ensure a seamless transition. Qualifications/Requirements * Licenses/Certifications : Property & Casualty (P&C) license required. * Experience : * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance. * Leadership experience or project management experience is a plus. * Technical Skills : Familiarity with AMS360 software is preferred but not required. * Soft Skills : * Strong leadership potential and a desire to manage a team. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently while fostering a team-oriented environment. * Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
