OVERVIEW We are seeking a motivated and skilled Outside Plumbing and/or Electrical Materials Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This person will be responsible for driving revenue growth through prospecting, developing new business opportunities and account management. The Outside Sales Representative contributes significantly to our success by developing personal connections with current and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that yield mutual business growth. Key Responsibilities * Prospect, qualify, and generate new business through in-person site visits, cold calling, networking, and referrals within the construction, plumbing, and electrical trades. This is not an office desk job. * Analyze market trends and local construction projects to identify high-potential opportunities for plumbing and electrical parts sales. * Build and maintain relationships with building contractors, electricians, plumbers, project managers, and purchasing agents. * Deliver tailored solutions to clients' technical challenges, emphasizing value-added sales and product knowledge of electrical and plumbing supplies. * Execute sales strategies to consistently meet and exceed territory sales targets. * Provide outstanding on-site customer service to both new and existing accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. * Collaborate with internal sales and support teams for seamless customer experience from quote to delivery. Qualifications * Demonstrated success in outside sales, ideally within the construction, electrical, or plumbing supply sectors. * Hands-on knowledge of electrical parts, plumbing supplies, or construction materials. * Strong network and established credibility with local builders, general contractors, electricians, or plumbing professionals. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize accounts, and self-motivate. * Valid North Carolina driver's license and dependable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided). REQUIREMENTS: Proven experience in outside sales with a passion for business development and customer service. Must be self-motivated, organized, having a personable demeanor and good communication skills. Solid construction knowledge or experience in plumbing &/or electrical, and interfacing with builders and contractors.
