Full description of the position

We are a small independent dealership in need of an Experienced Automotive Reconditioning Manager who has at least 5 years of experience in the following: * Effectively manage all areas of reconditioning operations, including but not limited to overseeing mechanical repairs, cosmetic repairs, state inspections and merchandising. * Review reconditioning work to ensure the company's quality standards are achieved. * Use reconditioning software to coordinate, schedule and assign tasks to personnel * Identify priority vehicles, monitoring progress, and resolving bottlenecks to achieve a minimum 10 day minimum and 8 day time-to-line goal. * Review all reconditioning expenses (i.e., payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintenance, etc.) and monitor the accurate recording of these transactions. * Monitoring the current parts inventory * Pricing parts to maintain profitability * Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them * Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs * Hire and train new staff in collaboration with upper management * Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff in the department. * Conducts or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. * Applies disciplinary actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. * Coordinates automotive repair, and reconditioning to obtain maximum utilization of automotive equipment and personnel * Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the flow of work through the facility in a professional, timely manner while ensuring high quality work. * Schedule and coordinate repairs by priority, assigning the most qualified technicians to achieve the highest quality repairs at the lowest cost * Maintain proper accountability of vendors, lot porters, detail and technician productivity. * Evaluate repair estimates for accuracy and efficacy. * Itemize the equipment, supplies, and repairs required. * Audit repair orders to ensure accurate flag times, parts utilization, and completed processes. * Maintain a clean and safe environment. * Responsible for the safety of technicians and maintaining a safe working environment.
