The optician is responsible for making sales happen. Willing to train interested applicants. You must be able to Speak Spanish. Experience is plus Any sales experience will also be considered Willing to train Pay is negotiable. Responsibilities: * Sales of Prescription Eyeglasses * Operate Optical Diagnostic Equipment * Troubleshoot Eyewear * Fitting and Adjusting Eyeglasses * Quality inspections of eyeglasses * Use of a lensometer to determine prescription accuracy * Clean and sterilize equipment as necessary * Inventory control of eyeglass frames * Pulling insurance authorizations for eyeglasses * Submitting claims to vision plans Expected to abide by HIPAA Standards Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * Minimum of 2 years experience in the optical field (Required) * ABO Certification (Preferred) * Working knowledge of optical diagnostic equipment * Friendly demeanor and professional appearance a must Job Type: Full-time Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * Employee discount * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
