Large North Suburban based component manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision metal machining is seeking a New Business Development Manager (Outside Sales). This position is responsible for generating new business opportunities. Position Responsibilities: * Regular travel primarily throughout the Midwest (minimum 50% travel M-Th) * Additional travel throughout North America/Mexico as necessary to support company efforts as well as customer needs. * Grow our overall business through new customer projects and diversification of our current business portfolio (networking & lead generation). * Manage and grow existing accounts and use your outside sales experience to prospect and develop new business. * Ability to work independently with both company personnel as well as clients. * Ability to manage complex customer / supplier relationships. Minimum Requirements: * 5+ years outside sales representative / sales account manager experience. * Demonstrated record of sales growth / customer development. * Experience in metals, and/or manufacturing preferred. * Valid driver's license and excellent driving record. * Familiar with Microsoft Suite (strong with Excel) * Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills. * Excellent negotiation skills * Experience working for a precision machinery company preferred.
