Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling and efficient checkout processes. * Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about merchandise to enhance customer engagement. * Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant items. * Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment. * Stock shelves and organize inventory to ensure product availability and accessibility. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining excellent phone etiquette. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere. * Assist in training new staff members, leveraging any supervising experience to guide them effectively. Skills * Proven experience in retail sales with a strong understanding of grocery store operations. * Proficient in cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively. * Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and appeal. * Ability to perform product demos confidently to educate customers on features and benefits. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer groups. * Strong upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions. * Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
