Full description of the position
Overview The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing daily tasks required to pursue and win project award for Foundation Drilling projects on the west coast with new and repeat Clients. Business Development Manager is expected to lead all aspects of BusDev pursuit management from prospecting through contract execution, with support from Foundation Drilling Division Subject Matter Experts (SME's) as needed. Responsibilities * Responsible for developing and leading all Bus Dev pursuits for the Foundation Drilling Division. * Consistently coordinate Bus Dev client meetings and include SDI upper management as needed. * Travel to client offices to discuss upcoming work and maintain relationships. * Review builders exchanges daily. * Coordinate and update opportunity tracker daily. * Develop and maintain pipeline. Review pipeline with upper management daily. * Assist in BusDev "Go/NoGo" decision, review incoming RFPs (Requests For Proposal) and ability to understand and summarize key Opportunity parameters in succinct and accurate fashion (i.e. Client Name, Project Location, Scope, COD deadline, RFP deadline etc.). * Create, update, and maintain Opportunity folders on shared network drive. * Collect RFIs (Request for information) and scope letters from SDI team members to submit to Client on a given "Go" RFP. * Notify SDI team of Client-issued project updates, RFI responses, addendum, etc. * Track assigned deliverables and follow-up with team members as needed to ensure a timely RFP response. * Provide update of status of each RFP/pursuit for weekly team meetings. * Schedule SDI team and Client meetings as needed/requested by Client. * Provide prompt and accurate responses to Client requests and queries during the BusDev phase, soliciting input from internal SME's as appropriate. * Attend tradeshows. * Additional duties and tasks may be assigned to support Business Development efforts. Experience * Experience in foundation drilling industry preferred * Understanding of foundation drilling and engineering principles preferred * Working knowledge of foundation drilling subject matter preferred * Excellent written and oral communication skills required * Detail- and task-oriented * Well-organized * Teamwork ethos * Self-motivated * Comfortable in fast-paced environment * Ability to learn and synthesize new information * Comfortable with math and discussing/explaining cost items with Clients * Ability to accommodate overnight travel if needed for job walks, Client meetings, tradeshows etc. (approx. 3x overnight trip per month) * Work well with various team members across disciplines * Proficient in online document management * Proficient with computer programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Bluebeam * Interest and ability to quickly learn new subject matter as required to perform tasks effectively * Understanding of foundation drilling market forces * Understanding new Client acquisition principles in a professional service industry setting * Ability to interact with Clients professionally * Ability to prioritize and manage many tasks simultaneously * Ability to face and overcome new challenges seen in the course of work * Ability to work and interact with members of staff at various levels in the organization * Ability to quickly arrive at workable decisions and to adapt self to changing working conditions and priorities Job Type: Full-time Pay: $123,860.00 - $139,342.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Cell phone reimbursement * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Application Question(s): * Do you have experience with any of the following foundation drilling techniques?
