Position Overview: The Transportation Sales Director is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth through the acquisition and retention of customers who require freight and load transportation services. This role will focus on developing strong relationships with shippers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and expanding the company's footprint in the freight logistics market. Key Responsibilities: * Sales Leadership: * Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets for volume, revenue, and margin. * Lead a team of sales managers and account executives focused on freight and load acquisition. * Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: * Identify and secure new shippers, manufacturers, retailers, and other customers needing transportation services. * Build long-term relationships with key accounts, providing excellent service and tailored logistics solutions. * Market Expansion: * Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings to adjust sales approaches and offerings. * Identify growth opportunities in underserved lanes or verticals * Collaboration & Coordination: * Work closely with dispatch, operations, and carrier procurement teams to ensure service commitments can be met. * Collaborate with marketing to create lead-generation campaigns and sales materials. * Performance Metrics: * Monitor and report on KPIs, including load volume, gross margin, customer acquisition cost, and retention rates. * Track sales activity and pipeline progression. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) * 5+ years of experience in transportation or freight sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director-level role * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the logistics or freight brokerage industry * Strong network of industry contacts (shippers, 3PLs, brokers) * Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in multimodal transportation * Knowledge of freight pricing models and contract negotiation * Familiarity with logistics technology Compensation & Benefits: * Competitive base salary + commission/bonus structure * Health, dental, vision insurance * Paid time off and holidays Job Type: Full-time Pay: $59,814.45 - $72,034.60 per year Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Ability to Commute: * El Paso, TX 79928 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: * El Paso, TX 79928: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Willingness to travel: * 25% (Preferred) Work Location: In person
