General Summary We are seeking outgoing, friendly and helpful associates to fill a sales position in Outdoor Power Equipment with a primary focus on Stihl. Stihl has been around since 1974 and is one of the best known names in Outdoor Power Equipment. We are seeking an individual who can inform our customer of the differences between these products, advise them on what best fits their needs, register, fuel, and start their new equipment. The Sales Associate will help with receipt, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise. Additionally, they will help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. Customer Service: * Project a positive representation of Ace Hardware of Fort Collins. * Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when they leave the store. * Project a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates. * Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively. * Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management. * Build a strong product knowledge, knowledge of store layout, and location of products. * Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time. Store Operations * Create a positive, professional and safe work environment. * Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store. * Actively review back-stock levels. * Aid with daily maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise. * Provide a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise. * Assist with merchandise resets through the store. * Provide assistance to Department Specialists, i.e. price changes, special orders. * Ensure signage is current throughout the store. * Operate store equipment properly and safely if eligible. * Communicate merchandising, cost control or sales idea to a manager. Physical Demands Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and stand/walk for up to eight hours in a shift. Experience Retail and customer experience preferred, but not required.
