Overview The Inventory Lead plays a key leadership role in ensuring the accurate, compliant, and efficient management of SOFACLUB's inventory operations. They serve as the point of contact for Inventory Associates and support management by overseeing daily inventory control, product intake, and compliance-related processes. The Inventory Lead maintains our brand standards and operational integrity while setting the tone for an organized, detail-driven, and accountable back-of-house environment. Responsibilities Inventory Accuracy & Control * Maintain precise product counts and inventory integrity across all systems, ensuring all movements are accurately tracked, logged, and reconciled daily. * Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies promptly, communicating findings to management and ensuring compliance with METRIC and statewide inventory regulations. * Oversee replenishment schedules and product flow to the sales floor, maintaining optimal stock levels and presentation standards. * Implement and enforce structured systems for product movement, ensuring FIFO standards are met, and aged inventory is minimized. Operations & Compliance * Verify product packaging, labeling, and storage to meet regulatory and brand quality expectations at all times. * Assist in ensuring full compliance with all New York State and local cannabis regulations, as well as health, safety and labor laws. * Serve as designated key holder, responsible for securing access to all dispensary entry points, storage areas, safes and restricted zones. Team Leadership & Training * Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and ownership within the inventory department through clear communication and example-setting. * Guide and develop Inventory Associates through consistent coaching, accountability, and hands on training in compliance, organization and operational excellence. * Delegate daily priorities, monitor task execution, and provide feedback to ensure accuracy, efficiency and adherence to SOFACLUB standards. Communication & Collaboration * Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive, inclusive, and educational environment for all guests. * Proactively communicates discrepancies, delivery updates, and product needs leadership to support informed decision making and consistent compliance. * Build strong cross-department relationships that promote accountability, transparency, and efficiency across all store functions. Store Standards * Maintain a clean, organized and visually cohesive retail environment that reflects SOFACLUB's brand standards and design ethos. * Support merchandising and product presentation to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Qualifications * Experience * Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a retail or hospitality environment; cannabis dispensary experience strongly preferred. * Proven ability to support teams, delegate responsibilities, and uphold operational standards during active shifts. Skills & Competencies * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a focus on coaching and team motivation. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities; capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced setting. * Proficient with retail technology platforms, including POS, inventory management, and workforce scheduling systems. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on leadership style. * Working knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods. * Familiarity with New York State and local cannabis regulations and a commitment to full compliance.
